Localizer 5 provides a simple, inexpensive way to use your favorite desktop mapping and navigation programs on your Windows 8 tablet. Many popular products like GarminPC, OziExplorer, Sygic Fleet, PC Navigator and many others require connection to a GPS device via a standard com port. The problem is that many tablets now feature GNSS devices, which provide location data via the Windows Location Platform. Unfortunately, they do not provide that data via a traditional com port, so most desktop apps simply will not work. That's where Localizer comes in.

Features:

Works directly with the GPS/GNSS sensor driver, bypassing the Windows Location platform entirely on Windows 8 standard (non WinRT) and Windows 7 operating systems.
Provides NMEA 0183 standard output directly from the chipset.
Provides the NMEA data to applications via a user-selectable virtual com port. It shows up in device manager and applications see it as a normal serial com port.
Full language support for the following:
  • Arabic
  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • Czech
  • Dutch
  • English
  • Farsi
  • French
  • German
  • Greek
  • Hebrew

UI is 100% touch-friendly.
Location data and NMEA output is displayed for easy validation of location platform availability and accuracy.

Localizer 5x GUI offers better stability, better performance, easier installation than previous versions. not only that, but purchasers of the 1-port service or GUI version can use the same license file for both versions....two ports for the price of one!
